Career Opportunity – Conference & Events Manager
- Liaison between Oakwood Resort management/staff and convenors/ participants during the planning and execution of conferences and events.
- Create and distribute detailed Banquet & Event Orders (BEO’s) to all required parties on a timely basis.
- Coordinate and review the BEO’s on an ongoing basis to ensure all contractual obligations are being adhered to (confirmations, deposits, pre-payments).
- Ensure that all conference and event revenue is properly recorded in the Resort Suite system.
- Manage and develop policies to ensure efficient customer oriented operations of the Conference & Event Office
- Conduct site visits, meet with group leaders to review their contracts, suggest ideas and events with a view to increase revenue. In general, enthusiastically promote Oakwood Resort and its advantages
- Work with the conference convenor to ensure that Oakwood Resort is able to fulfill their meeting needs, agenda and meal requirements, without compromising the standard of service
- Liaise and work with all the hotel departments relative to the Conference Office and group requirements
