Our Story

Dave’s Pub & Grill is named in honour of Dave Scatchard, the man who brought heart, vision, and hospitality to Oakwood Resort. In 1981, Dave and his beloved Valorie transformed a small 16-room inn into the full-service resort we know and love today.

Through Dave has passed, his spirit lives through the warmth of this pub, the stories on the stories on the walls, and most importantly, the family with whom he built it. Today, Oakwood continues to be proudly family-run with Dave’s children and grandchildren all carrying on the tradition of welcoming guests like old friends.

So whether you’re here for a pint, a meal, or a memory, thank you for being part of our extended Oakwood family.

Our first taste of your Wings last night at Wing Night with friends. The place was full which was nice to see The WINGS were really good and the Side of fries were like something we had never tasted before It was a plentiful basket of crispy seasoned fries (still can't put our finger on what they were seasoned with ) But left you wanting more Great Place to be on a Thursday night

Deanna and the other staff are AMAZING. My husband and I kept coming back during our stay at Oakwood because of the great food and even better company. Lovely people who go above and beyond. Thank you so much for the best weekend getaway, we are leaving with great memories and full bellies. Can’t wait to come back next year! ☀️⛳️

My family and I came and got the chicken tenders and fries it was super good and everyone enjoyed their food and wasn’t disappointed. The servers are so nice here, will come again.
