Responsibilities
- Must be available days, evenings and weekends
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify
maintenance needs and prevent issues before they arise - Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, doors, windows, and other
building components with precision and care - Assist with installation of new fixtures or equipment to improve facility functionality
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used
to ensure accurate documentation - Knowledge of pools, hot tubs and sauna maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to minimize
downtime - Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to protect
yourself and others - Collaborate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or inspections are
required - Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment adhering to the legislation
set out by Occupational Health and Safety - Perform daily visual workplace inspections
- Attend safety talks, and staff meetings
- Conducts self with regard for safety of employees; is aware of safety and evacuation
procedures - Assist with the training of new employees
- Report to supervisor/manager any health and safety violations
- Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- As an Oakwood employee, responsible for the ongoing general appearance of the
Resort property. This entails allocating found garbage in the appropriate areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance, repair work, or a similar hands-on role is
highly preferred - Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general carpentry
techniques - Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions quickly
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing safety and
quality standards - Good physical stamina for lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various
environments - Certifications such as HVAC certification or electrical licenses are a plus but not
mandatory

A successful applicant must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
