Laughter is back on the shores of Lake Huron! Oakwood Resort is thrilled to welcome Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Night back to Grand Bend on Saturday, January 10 at 7PM. This one-night-only event promises an evening of unforgettable entertainment, featuring three hilarious comedians direct from Yuk Yuk’s world-famous roster.

Yuk Yuk’s has been Canada’s home of comedy for over four decades, launching the careers of legendary performers and entertaining audiences across the country. Now, this high-energy show is returning to Oakwood Resort for another round of laughter, great food, and cozy winter fun.

The Comedians

DAN BRENNAN

Dan Brennan has lived in many places, but these days he calls the comedy stage home. A gifted storyteller and naturally lovable presence, Dan has been making audiences laugh for over a decade. With his sharp wit, genuine charm, and knack for finding the funny in everyday life, he’s both an engaging performer and a room favorite wherever he goes.

DK PHAN

DK Phan is a Canadian Vietnamese standup comedian based in Toronto. He started 2010 at the Second City Training Centre, where he studied stand-up, improv, and acting. He has performed all across North America, including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, New York, and LA.

DK graces the stage with an amicable demeanour that puts you at ease, delivering relatable writing with a subtle edge. His acute observations come off clean but are by no means friendly. His relatable and down-to-earth style has earned him time on Rogers TV and a gala taping for CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

MARTHA CHAVES

Martha Chaves is a Latin Canadian, award-winning stand-up comedian, actor, and comedy writer. Daryl Jung from Now Magazine called her “Witty, sassy, provocative, and very funny.” In 2023, TLN named her one of North America’s Ten Most Influential Hispanic Canadians.

Her infectious, candid style and natural ability to relate to a wide range of audiences make her a popular headliner at clubs, festivals, fundraisers, corporate functions, and keynote speaking engagements.

Her TV credits include multiple appearances in the Just For Laughs, Winnipeg, and We Are Funny That Way Festivals, to mention a few, and her two national comedy specials, Something About Martha on CTV and the Comedy Network and Comics! on the CBC.

Martha can often be heard on CBC Radio’s The Debaters and Laugh Out Loud and is a cast member of CBC’s Because News. Her album Chunky Salsa is available on all platforms and can be heard on Sirius XM.
